Enrich believes that in a salon, a customer comes for grooming services, but what the stylists deliver is self-esteem. In this uncertain world, where everyone has to revaluate their hygiene standards, self-esteem now comes from the assurance of safety.

The custodians of the brand learnt an important lesson from the ongoing pandemic. That because countries, communities and companies were focussed on only safeguarding their narrow interest, it resulted in one virus being able to travel the world and get it to a standstill. If there was thought given to the broader context, the virus could have been contained and serious consequences limited.
Given the contagious nature of the virus, the only way it can now be contained is if we all think not just about ourselves but of others too. The mask we wear safeguards others, their mask saves us. We stay indoors to prevent it affecting us as much as it prevents us from spreading it further. The realisation is that each one of us is safe, only when all of us are safe.

On the ground it meant that:

  • - It is as important to have safety measures for the team as it is to have them for Customers
    - It is as important to survive as an ecosystem, not just you but all your business associates as well
    - It is as important to expect help from the country and community as it is to take responsibility as in individual to do your bit for all the others

At Enrich, hygiene has been of paramount importance since inception. The management and the teams have further upped the notch by working tirelessly to establish protocols which ensure utmost safety for all – customer and salon team.

Here are some of the guidelines in brief which customers will have to adhere to once they visit the salon.

  • - Self-assessment through Aarogya Setu app before entering the salon
    - Use of pedal sanitiser to sanitise the hands – at the entrance of the salon
    - Use of mobile steriliser to sanitise their mobile devices
    - Get their temperature checked with an infrared thermometer, and wear Personal Protection Kit – gloves, mask, body robe, shoe cover
    - To maintain social distancing, there will be floor markings Customers would need to refer to
    - Customers would be requested to bring their own water bottles and a light snack (to avoid ordering any outside food)
    - Frequent sanitisation of hands while in the salon
    - Digital payments preferred

The safety of customers can only be completely ensured once the salon team members are safe. Below are some of the main guidelines which the salon team is undertaking apart from the ones taken by customers.

  • - Self-assessment through Aarogya Setu app before entering the salon
    - Use of pedal sanitiser to sanitise the hands – at the entrance of the salon
    - Get temperature checked with an infrared thermometer and wear Personal Protection Kit – which would include face shield and a head cover too for technicians and support staff
    - Use private vehicles/auto while commuting to work
    - Use digital rate card instead of hardcopy
    - Restrict count of people in the pantry at a time and maintain one meter distance from each other
    - Manage appointments to ensure only 50% occupancy at a time
    - Encourage customers for digital payment (credit card, debit card, PayTM, Google Pay, UPI)
    - Obtain email ID from customer and email the invoice copy (print out not allowed)
    - Clean and disinfect the desk every hour
    - Single use kits to be used for each customer
    - Sterilise the tools before and after the service
    - Handshakes will not be allowed, rather greet with a Namaste!
