Monsoon is here and while the initial relief from the heat is calming, it does come with its own set of problems. Right from an array of insects visiting your home, clothes that don’t dry forever and most importantly a whole load of hair & scalp issues.
If you step out and forgot to carry an umbrella, you get drenched from head to toe and your last preference in getting yourself dried up again is your hair.
Hence there is a lot of moisture in your scalp which can exacerbate to more skin concerns. We rather make the best of the monsoon showers! We suggest that you go a little easy on the styling part. Will save a lot of trouble!
Avoid using stiff styling products
Your scalp has already a lot of moisture and natural oils. Hence avoid using stiff styling products because this will make the hair look greasier and limp.
Keep the Blow dryer away
While monsoon is quite relaxing if you are indoors, once must take into account the humidity. Hence avoid blow-drying your hair too much since the style you are going for will not be long-lasting and all the effort will go in vain.
Stop combing your wet hair
Comb your hair only when it is semi-dry or completely dry. Otherwise, it will lead to breakage and you do not want that! Here is a tip - use a wide-tooth comb.
Go a little easy using heat tools
Too Much heat can damage the keratin proteins that give hair its strength, hence avoid using heat tools too often. But do remember to use a thermal heat protector on your hair before styling.
Try new styles instead of Blow dry
Girls with medium to long hair can try various hairstyles like the mermaid fishtail braid, the wrap-around high ponytail and topknot buns, those with shorter length should opt for loose chignons and low buns.
So keep all the tips in mind and enjoy the monsoon. Please make sure that you take all necessary precautions before stepping out and stay safe out there.
