Sizzling hairstyles for monsoon

Sizzling hairstyles for monsoon Nothing spoils your mood like a bad hair day! And this gets even worse in a weather that makes your hair feel damp, oily and greasy. This becomes more frequent during monsoon and you are left wondering if there ever is an option to style your hair and not let them feel oily. Well, the good news is here. Enrich Salon helps you with few quick and easy to do hair styles that will not only leave your hair feeling great but also lift up your spirits instantly. 1. Ponytails: This monsoon you must go for the ponytail styles. They are the most popular trendy hair styles today. The advantage of ponytails is that you get to choose from various styles and still never get enough of them. Some of the ponytails help keep your face clear of hair. • Instead of a high ponytail, this time tie it at the nape of your neck. Pick a small section of hair and twist it around. Secure the loose end at the bottom of the ponytail with a bobby pin. You are good to go! • Get hold of a hair curler, add a few curls to your ponytail and make it a bit bouncy. • Next, you can also try the same ponytails at the side of your neck. • For a light cocktail evening, pull out some strands of your hair on the face and bring in a more feminine delicate effect. 2. Braids: Braids have seen a total make over recently. With so many styles being brought in everyday, there is always a new braid that is left out. Braids keep your hair manageable, tied up in one place and make you look tidy. They also prevent the hair from getting frizzy. Take a binge and braid it up! • For an instant dramatic effect, drop the regular braid this time and instead braid your hair inside out. • Pull the hair to one side of your head and go for a side braid. • Choose to accessorize the braid with delicate items like artificial flowers or beads to add glamour. 3. Wavy curls: If you have frizzy hair, maintaining straight hair will always be a concern. Please remember, more the products you try to straighten your hair, more the damage you are causing to your hair. Hence an easy tip is to opt for long wavy curls. This way you will be able to make the frizzy hair look stylishly messy. 4. Buns: Buns are a fun way to do your hair. Wrap your hair in a messy bun or a donut...

Rise and shine this monsoon

We all have a very interesting love-hate relationship with Monsoon. When the summers are gruelling, all that we crave for are monsoon showers. On one hand monsoon brings along the desire to stay indoors, snuggled in a blanket with hot brewing tea, while on the other hand it also brings dirty flooded roads, wet and itchy feet, gloomy clouds and low moods. However in your own small ways there is always a chance to brighten up your spirits this monsoon. 1. Choose right footwear: First things first – Make sure the rain water isn’t making your feet wet, dirty and prone to infection. Make sure you keep your feet clean and dry. Additionally, buy a pair of good quality shoes that bring comfort and style together. You can choose bright colours that will add a dash of shine in the climate. It is so easy today to get a stylish pair of foot wear for the monsoon and in so much variety. Jelly sandals, available in plastic, pvc, rubber and silicone, are very popular. 2. Colour your own clouds: When the clouds go dark for everyone, it is time to pull out your own clouds. Pick up umbrellas with interesting patterns and colours. Match them to your outfit or add contrast to your attire. If you have an artistic streak, pick up a plain umbrella and add your own colours and drawings to it. Make a personalized umbrella this monsoon! 3. Raincoats for convenience: For those who wish to travel light, pick up a raincoat. It adds style to your daily wear; make the rain coats work as a fashion advantage. Go ahead and experiment with different styles, patterns and colours. Go bold, go stylish! You only need a perfectly fitting rain coat and you are good to go and enjoy the monsoon. 4. Be smudge free: It is essential to be careful about the makeup you are wearing. Needless to say the products you use must be water proof. Getting your face smudged as soon as you step out is the worst day spoiler and to avoid this, all you need is to pick up water proof sun screen, foundation, eye liners and mascaras. Be ready to take the splash on the face! 5. Be colourful: When the atmosphere around you is gloomy and dark with clouds, bring a rainbow to the surroundings. Pick up clothes that are bright, dark and in attractive colours. Use accessories that complement the bright colours. 6. Choose the right wardrobe: It actually is a good idea to have a monsoon ready wardrobe. One of the challenges of monsoon is to dry your...

Let’s do some Nail talking

Do you realize how much stress you give to your nails and how less do you take care of them? And if you are still wondering why you have weird looking nails and cuticles, we have just answered your concern. Almost all of us give our hands too much stress and completely ignore the kind of care our nails need. It is time that we start listening to what our nails are saying and get them in healthy shape. Taking care of your nails is extremely easy. There are basic things that you need to bring to your regime and everything will fall in place. 1. Using nail polish: Your daily attire these days includes wearing nail polish. It is a part of your style too. Hence we recommend use of nail polish but with caution. Go for brands that are known and are safe to use. Not only will the colour last longer, it will minimize the damage. It is highly recommended that give your nails a break from nail polish every few days. Leaving them without colour will allow them to take in some fresh air and oxygen. 2. Removing Gel polish: Use of gel polish undoubtedly looks great on the nails. However when it starts to wear off, the temptation to peel it off is very high. You must learn to resist the same. Gel polish sits on the nails and peeling it off will also rip off the natural layer of your nails, making them weak and brittle. An ideal way to remove gel polish is to visit a salon and get it done. You may also choose to dip your nails in pure acetone for about 15 minutes and wait for it to lift itself from your nails. 3. Peeling off the regular nail polish: Just like peeling of gel polish, peeling off the regular nail polish is also not recommended. Half peeled nail polish not only looks untidy but also may chip off parts of your nails, making them uneven and shapeless. Thus you must always use a proper nail polish remover. 4. Use of moisturizers: Moisturizing your hands must be a part of your daily routine. A rich hand cream or cuticle oil is strongly recommended which will help heal dry, weak and brittle nails and cuticles. For excessively dry hands, massage your hands daily before bed time, especially applying the cream on the nails and around the finger tips. Then slip on cotton gloves or socks on the hands. This will protect your hands well and retain the natural moisture. 5. Protecting your hands while using cleaning products: While using cleaning...

Deciding what to wear for work every day is a challenge and the thought of what hairstyle to adopt each day can be even more daunting especially when the heat is on the rise. We are more than pleased to help you with some of the sassy looks especially for the workplace that you can enjoy this summer. The easiest and most popular is the traditional bun. It is not only easy and time saving but also saves you from bad hair days and gives you a clean look by keeping any strands of hair out of your face. You can make it look stylish by putting it up high on the head, bold eyes and nude lips. Isn’t this a perfect way to enter the meeting room with style! People with bangs can sport a nice low chignon. Just make sure that the bangs don’t fall all over your face. This will help get a clean and professional look. The low chignon is a trendy low bun just above the shoulders behind the neck. This bun helps keep hair rolled up neatly in one place yet giving you a polished corporate feel. Another hairstyle which looks just as wonderful in a formal attire or in a traditional dress is the one sided braid. Giving a young and classy look, this hairstyle also has the benefit of keeping your hair in one place. You may variations by having a tight braid or having some part of your hair left loose and then tying up the braid. It happens to be one of the favorite styles for many people. We believe a French braid is that one hair style which can never fail – be it a busy Monday morning meet or a casual and fun filled Friday. A French braid may need some practice and initially can be a little time consuming but once you have mastered it, you can wear it with any attire, it just falls right in place. If you want to ditch the usual French braid and go for a little zing, then try the reverse French braid. It is a simple braid where you bring the right section under the center section and then the left section under the center. Keep adding small sections of hair from the sides and continue braiding until the very end. For a very Friday look consider going for the crown braid. This is the chic look which is one of the fastest trending workplace hairstyles. So while you may take your time to pick up the Friday denims, you sure know what hairstyle to choose. A ponytail is...

Goodbye to black heads

With our previous blogs we have dealt with skin problems like acne and today we shall address something equally concerning – Black heads. Let us first clear basic myths about Black heads: Myth – Dirt accumulation in open pores of the skin causes black heads. Fact – Black heads are caused in open pores when the skin cells get oxidized with the oxygen in the air. Myth – Scrubbing the skin can help remove black heads. Fact – Obsessive scrubbing of the face may not necessarily help. In fact it can cause excessive dry skin and can also cause rashes and skin breakout. There is no reason to stress out. We have some very easy,do it yourself techniques that can help you get rid of black heads quickly. To begin with, make sure you have clean skin. Use a skin friendly face wash. Have ample drinking water all through the day to keep your skin hydrated and supple. Water and a face wash go a long way. Washing your face clean at least twice a day is a must. This ensures open pores don’t accumulate sebum and dead skin cells. Using a good moisturizer helps in nourishing the skin. The first technique is using a clean tooth brush with soft bristles and used only for skin care. Keep it dipped in water for about 5 minutes to make it softer so that using it on your skin doesn’t hurt. Start by washing your face clean. Make a paste by mixing 1 tea spoon filtered water, 1 table spoon baking soda and some toothpaste. Mix and keep aside. Take a warm washed cloth and press it gently on the areas where you want to remove blackheads from, such as the nose, chin and cheeks, avoiding eyes at all times. This warm cloth will help open the pores. Gently apply the paste and with the toothbrush make small circular motions to scrub the area. Make sure you don’t over scrub, not more than twice. Take a warm cloth and wipe off the mask. Do not use cold cloth or water at this moment since that can close the pores. With the same warm damp cloth you can try to pinch out the black and white heads that are still visible. Some can even be scraped and extracted gently by clean nails. Once you are sure that you have cleaned the area, replenish the skin by using a light weight moisturizer. Repeat this procedure whenever needed but not more than once a week. Another easy technique is by using a mix of 1 tablespoon organic honey and 1 teaspoon milk heated in...
