We all are worried about hair fall. Hair fall or thinning hair is a very common concern in almost all age groups today. Both men and women are fighting hair loss every day. But only worrying about this won’t help. It is important to understand your hair and the reasons that are causing the damage.

Hair needs a diet which is rich in protein and iron. Include meat, fish, eggs, green vegetables, pulses and fresh fruits in your daily menu.Eat healthy and stay away from oily junk food.

You should also consider being gentle with your hair especially when they are wet. Brush your hair with care. Stay hydrated, drink as much water as you can every day. Avoid hot water hair wash as it steals the natural moisture from hair. A good relaxed sleep also does wonders for hair.
Being aware of the reasons is the first step in fighting the issue since you can now take measures to ensure there is no further damage. Let’s start with the most commonly found Onions in every household. There are two ways in which Onion can help. Onion contains sulfur in high quantity which helps in blood circulation and thus in turn helps immensely in controlling hair fall. You could grate or blend onion to get its juice and apply that on the scalp and leave it for an hour before washing with mild shampoo. To get a shiny texture you could also mix a spoon of aloe vera gel in the juice. Second method is to slice the onion and boil them in water. Strain the water and allow it to cool. The final rinse of the hair must be done with this water.
Egg white is very rich in protein. Mix egg white with little Olive oil and apply on the scalp. Leave it for an hour and then wash your hair with your regular shampoo. This will give your hair the required dose of protein and moisture.
Cleansing of the scalp is extremely important and the same can be done by using Apple cider vinegar and water in equal quantities. After shampoo, rinse your hair with it. Apple cider vinegar is a natural cleanser. You will be left with silky shiny hair.
The use of fenugreek seeds is also very helpful in nourishing and strengthening hair. You can either soak them over night in water and use the water to rinse your hair after shampoo or apply a hair mask made from paste of fenugreek seeds and coconut milk which is a natural moisturizer. Apply this to your hair for 30 minutes before shampoo. Rich in protein, Vitamin C, potassium and iron, fenugreek seeds are magical on hair.
A time proven remedy for hair loss is using a homemade shampoo made of Amla, shikakai and reetha. These are easily available in Ayurveda stores. You can either get them in whole or get them in powdered form. Mix it with water and use to wash your hair. This shampoo not only cleanses and strengthens your hair but also gives them a protective shine.
