Exercises for your face
Who doesn’t want love and attention? We all do, right? Same is with our mind, body and soul. We work out for the mind and body and meditate for the soul. But is a work out enough for the whole body? The answer perhaps is NO. We often tend to ignore the face. Yes, our face needs special attention too and these exercises help you maintain the charm and glow on the face by removing any sign of stress and tiredness.
So let’s get started.
First let us work on the eye bags and puffiness around the eyes. Press both middle fingers together at the inner corner of the eyebrows, then with the index fingers apply pressure to the outer corners of the eyebrows.
Look to the ceiling, and raise the lower eyelids upwards to make a strong squint for about 25-30 seconds, and then relax. Repeat for about 5-6 times. You may end this by shutting your eyes tightly for about 15 seconds.
Toning the cheeks: Place your fingers on your cheek bones and push the cheeks upwards. Tilt your head down a little. Exhale. Repeat 5-6 times.
Fill your mouth with air. This should make your skin on the cheeks taut. Hold for 20-25 seconds. Then suck your cheeks in, making a fish face. Hold for 20-25 seconds. Repeat these two 5-6 times.
Cheek lines and sagging skin: Make an O shape with your lips. Make sure lips hide the teeth. Smile widely but keep the teeth hidden. Repeat 5-6 times. Then hold the smile shape while placing one index finger on the chin. Then start to move the jaw up and down as the head tilts gently back. Relax and repeat twice.
Forehead lines: Place finger tips at the center of the forehead. Gently sweep the fingers outwards applying slight pressure to tighten the skin. Relax and then repeat for 8 – 10 times.
Double chin: Getting rid of the double chin is easy. Sit with back straight and look up towards the ceiling. Make a pout with your lips and hold for 20-25 seconds. Repeat 5-6 times.
These are easy exercises that won’t take too much of our time. They can be done sitting at home or during a short break in office. Try to follow them 5-6 times a day and see the difference.
