What is your hair type? What can you do about it?
You are born with the texture that your hair is today.
Which depends mainly on hereditary factors.
So there is nothing you can do about that even if you wanted to.
The good news is, is that doesn’t stop you from styling your hair the way you want it to be!
Enrich Salons shares a few tips and tricks with you about how each type of hair can be styled in different ways and which will help you achieve almost any look you can think of.
Hair types can be broadly differentiated into fourkinds.
Fine, medium thick, long thick, and curly.
Fine hair normally looks shiny, smooth, lifeless and flat.
Short or middle length hairstyles help add volume to such hair.
Add to the volume by brushing with a big round brush.
Using volumising products like mousse and gel sometimes helps.
Highlights in different shades also create an illusion of thickness.
Try them out.
But if you really prefer long hair, tie it in loose braids or try out bangs.
If you are lucky, you have medium thick hair which is neither too thick nor too thin.
So you can choose any hairstyle just by changing the weight distribution.
If you are tall, go for a longer hairstylehowever,Butbobs and shorter styles look equally good.
If your hair is thick, then you need to keep it away from your face and hence be careful how you style it.
You can go for the very famous Victoria Beckham geometric cut.
The geometry and layers will add mobility to your hair and will be easy to manage with a flat brush and blow dryer.
The key to style thick hair is to reduce its density.
Avoid straight bobs.
Try long styles and straighteners.
If your hair is curly, you are very lucky.
Very few people have this type of hair and it is considered to be a very precious hair type.
But, fact of the matter is, curly hair can be a nuisance at times, unless styled properly.
Style your curls by taming its wildness without ruining its natural beauty.
Ideally, after perfect styling, your curls should settle naturally.
Short cuts or shoulder length ones will suit you best.
Applying a fortifying mask every three days followed by a styling with mousse will revitalise your curls without adding weight.
Do not use hair gels.
Also avoid tight braids.
